I have spent the past 40yrs designing fun characters and writing little story poems about them. Fairy Fiasco is one of those characters. She’s a real fun make.

Fairy Fiascos Story

Fairy Fiasco is a dumpy little Gonk ( she can’t help her genetic make up). Gonks are renowned for their roundness. However, her best friend is a Christmas tree Fairy called Twinkle. Twinkle is small, petite and very, very pretty and they do everything together. They get into all sorts of mischief and spend their days dreaming of far away places and growing up to become anything they want to be.

One day Fairy Fiasco told her best friend she dreamed of being a Christmas Tree Fairy. Twinkle told her friend she should just ‘go for it, live your best life and be happy’.

‘But  I don’t have a suitable dress’ cried Fairy Fiasco.

‘No worries’ said Twinkle…. ‘I have loads. Here you go, try this one on’.

The dress was a little bit snug ,

but both Twinkle and Fairy Fiasco agreed it looked good.

So Fairy Fiasco’s dream came true….. Now she just needs a tree to perch on top of.

Some Fairies are lucky

Some Fairies are not

Some Fairies are funny

Some Fairies are hot

Fairy Fiasco is clumsy

She’s not dainty at all

She’s big and cumbersome

And shaped like a ball

Her dress is to small

And her crown is to big

She’s dumpy and round

Her wand is bent like a twig

But deep in her heart

She has only one plea

That someone will want her

On top of their tree

To be a Christmas tree Fairy

Is the top of her list

To feel special and loved

Is this Gonks only wish
