Wise Old Bird is one of those projects that I have been meaning to
do for years but kept putting off. I absolutely love how she’s turned
out, and I wish I had done it a long time ago. Wise Old Bird may be
small, but she’s packed full of character and hides a chocolate
orange inside her belly beautifully. Or if you prefer you can buy a
clear 7cm fillable bauble and stuff it full of sweets/candys, a lottery
ticket or any small gifts you can think of to make her truly unique.
She can be easily turned into a softie by using the base pattern
included in the pattern. She’s the perfect size for little hands to
cuddle. Or she would be ideal to sit on a shelf looking so cute and
very intelligent of course.
She is knitted flat using 3mm straight needles and DK yarn. There
are some iCord elements in the pattern but everything thing is
explained with colour photos throughout.

17g Paintbox Simply DK yarn - (100) Paper White
14g Hayfield Bonus DK- (0931) Storm
9g Paintbox Simply DK yarn - (101) Pure Black
Oddments of Cream & Brown DK yarn for Scroll, Beak and Feet

22sts x 30 rows = 10cm x 10cm (4’’ x 4’’) using 4mm needles
